Should You Consult Your Medical Professional?
“Please consult your medical professional before doing ________.”
We hear this all the time on TV, internet and radio, but is it really necessary?
Hi, my name is Dr. Chris from Cameron Chiropractic, and today I would like to dispel this myth.
Nope — You Don’t Need A Referral To See A Chiropractor!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor first, but it’s not the case when it comes to seeing a chiropractor.
You do not need a referral from a medical doctor to see a chiropractor.
In fact, when it comes to issues like back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica, a chiropractor is a great place to start.
Medical Doctors vs Chiropractors
The reason for this is because a medical doctor focuses on medication to temporarily block the pain, but as a chiropractor, I focus on the underlying mechanics of the problem.
Medications obviously have their time and place, but when there’s a mechanical or structural problem with how the bones of the spine, the nerves, or the muscles are working, then chiropractic is a safe, effective solution.
At Cameron Family Chiropractic, our goal is to help you to avoid persistent pain without relying on medication. To learn more, check out the rest of our website, www.cameronchiro.com.
